The Urban Academy-Sino-German Forum for Sustainable Urban Development, whose subject is “Heating and Cooling with Sun, Wind and Earth – How to best use Renewable Energies in Chinese cities”, was held in Shanghai on May 14th, 2010. It is the core part of 2010 Shanghai activities of “Germany and China – moving ahead together”, which is the culture cooperation project between Germany and China. All the participants made discussions in terms of actual situation of environmental protection in China, as well as how to use renewable energy more efficiently, etc.

As a pioneer enterprise actively promotes renewable products, Bosch Thermotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd, was warmly welcomed by the organizer of this forum- the Culture and Education Section of the German Consulate General Shanghai. Mr. Werner Witte, the General Manager of Bosch Thermotechnology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. attended the forum and made a brief and lively presentation about the principle, core competencies and successful projects about solar thermal systems from Bosch Thermotechnology. Mr. Werner Witte’s introduction largely enriched the contents of this forum and won high attention from many participants.
